I am still scratching my head…pneumonia…a-fib…congestive heart failure. Those are reasons other people go to the hospital. I am in very good health. But I was in cardiac care for a week, at two different hospitals, and I am not done yet!
Memorial Day weekend, I couldn't imagine having a heart catheterization, a couple of shocks to force my heart back into rhythm, and I had no idea what my ejection fraction was!
Now, I get to spend a lot of time thinking about what may have been the cause…or better yet, how to avoid a disruption like this in the future. I have things to do…paintings that need to be finished…fun to be had…cha cha cha!
While waiting for my heart cath the other morning, my gurney happened to be parked so that I could see the quote clearly stenciled on the wall above my head, "Those who wish to sing, always find a song!"
I am out of the hospital now and I have started painting again…and while I am doing that…I have added some new songs to my iPod…I have danced…and you bet…I sing!
