After the Storm:  Headin' to the Barn, a Cow's Tale    watercolor on paper 22x30

Tomorrow, Saturday, August 22 is a BIG ART DAY in the High Country!!!  I start the morning at the Art Cellar Gallery in Banner Elk for their last  "Coffee Talk" of the year.  I will be there to give a little talk and and to take questions from the audience…haven't gotten confirmation on the fried balogna (spelled "baloney" where I come from) sandwiches, but it will be fun, regardless.
I plan to show this series of cow paintings, sketches, renderings, and let you all behind the scenes of watercolor painting.  Hope to see you there, starting at 10.
Then, tomorrow evening at Grandfather Golf and CC, it is the Annual Art Dinner featuring all of the artsy folk from Grandfather.  Listen, this is a wonderful show from creative, talented folk…some even let me call them "Friend."  BIG EVENT.
And speaking of BIG…another friend, Dr. Cheap Joe Miller is home from the hospital and doing well…CJ, take care of yourself…we need you!
OK, hope to see you all at the Art Cellar in the morning…come by and say "Hay" or is it, "hey"…got to get moooooo-ving.

Grass-fed  11x15  Watercolor and Gouache on Paper

Saturday, August 22 is a BIG DAY!  I am leading the discussion at the Art Cellar  "Coffee Talk" in Banner Elk, NC.  I did one of their first ones a couple of years ago and the event was a success.  Not because of me…but because the owners' son, Mason, served up fried baloney (or balogna…however you spell it) sandwiches.  The mustard ones went first…but, he has promised me another of his special creations…so get there early!
I plan to talk about the "process" that I use to create watercolor paintings.  Featured during the discussion…and it is a discussion…are my paintings of the "Boone Bovines."  I will tell the story of how we met, and how I came to paint them this Summer.  And, I will tell you the process from photo to sketch to another sketch to painting to Signature!
I hope you can make it…10-12, Saturday morning, August 22…remember, the ones with the mustard go fast!
(Management note:  if you have food allergies, including baloney, bacon, or other pig parts…he did use whole wheat bread on a few of them two years ago…talk to your doctor about whether you should eat baloney.  Carrots and celery are available upon request…)
