Fishing Boats
Fishing Boats come in all sizes and shapes. My friend and fellow fly fisher, Carlo Oates (who himself has been featured in a few of my paintings as a fisher and with his dog, Buddy) introduced me to these well-worn 14-footers. Carlo and I fished on the lake in Linville...the name of which is Native American in origin and hard for me to remember. Each time I see the sign pointing to that lake I think I will write it down. Never do.
This is an 11x14 oil on wooden panel, a first for me. I like the support and probably will do more . I have prepared several panels with canvas and linen; wooden panels; and gypsum board. We'll see what happens.
Next, back to watercolors and some beautiful flowers from Doc Magruder's garden. Just using plain old Arches 300 lb. rough paper for them. We
